Soundproof curtains for halls

The Challenge

The highly respected company ATENDIA , contacted the team at Acoustic Force to professionally improve the soundproofing between two training and training rooms where a movable glass wall was installed. Prior to our team's intervention, holding two training sessions simultaneously in the two rooms was impossible, despite the wall being installed. It was extremely important for the clientele to maximize the sound insulation between the rooms without any renovation work. Our team approached the requirements very responsibly and first carried out an on-site survey to analyse and give an opinion as to the causes of the reduced insulation.

Our Solution

After a thorough analysis of the results of the on-site visit, a detailed report was provided, describing all the problem points and providing a solution for them. Our team proposed two solution options for the problem. The first proposal was related to the dismantling of the existing glass partition and the construction of a new one, which would be of high class and meet the requirements. The second option was to make soundproof curtains that reduce the sound level by 3dB to 5dB. A budget solution was presented for both options to make the best decision. The ATENDIA team decided to implement the design solution with the soundproof curtains despite their lower efficiency.

The Execution

The manufacture, delivery and installation of the soundproofing curtains was entrusted to the Acoustic Force team. The delivery process was challenging for our team because it was taking place during the country's complicated epidemic situation. Despite this, our team managed to meet the set deadline and met all agreed price frames. The soundproofing curtains were placed on aluminium rails to have the necessary portability and to allow easy relocation.

After the completion of the acoustic curtain project, acoustic tests were carried out to establish the effectiveness of the curtains. A difference in sound levels with and without curtains of 4.5dB was recorded. Our clients were extremely pleased with the results and are now happy to say that they use both rooms at the same time without them interfering with each other. Take a look at our other projects!
