A private individual contacted the team at Acoustic Force with an order for an expert assessment and installation of soundproofing. The client had previously had a negative experience with noise in residential buildings, Therefore, they decided to take preventive measures for soundproofing before moving into a new home—an entire floor of a multi-family house. The challenge our team faced was the presence of various types of noise, as the ceiling slab between the second and third floors was very thin (about 8 cm). Measurements showed that the ceiling in one of the rooms had a height difference of up to 15 cm between its lowest and highest points. Four of the walls also required acoustic treatment.
After conducting an on-site inspection, the team at Acoustic Force concluded that soundproofing should be applied to all ceilings as well as to four walls. The ceilings were fitted with the Elastic Control system in combination with Nivelator UP.
ELASTIC CONTROL is effective across a wide frequency range from 100 to 5,000 Hz, covering sound pressures from audio systems and low-frequency noise. The specially selected silicone hangers from the company Senor allow for variation in thickness, making it suitable for any individual case. By using high-grade mineral wool, the system meets both acoustic performance standards and environmental safety requirements.
NIVELATOR UP is a system of soundproof panels, highly effective for ceiling slab deflections greater than 10 mm. It is the most suitable solution for soundproofing ceilings with minimal thickness. Designed for thin ceiling slabs and beam structures, or in cases where the element has reduced soundproofing properties and space is limited.
On the walls, the installation team of Acoustic Force installed the system NIVELATOR SOUND designed to enhance the soundproofing of surfaces made from aerated concrete, ceramic brick, and plasterboard. It uses high-grade metal profiles and elastic hangers from the Spanish company Senor. The mineral wool in the system meets the required acoustic performance standards.
At the end of every challenge we take on, we perform final measurements to assess the results achieved—and this project was no exception. After installing the Nivelator Sound, Elastic Control, and Nivelator UP systems, we recorded a significant noise reduction. Our measurements showed a 90% decrease in noise levels compared to the initial readings.
We successfully completed another challenging project, adding it to our extensive portfolio.
