Ceiling Soundproofing in a Private Apartment

The Challenge

The client’s complaints were related to high noise levels from the neighbors on the floor above. Half of the apartment was located beneath an area occupied by a terrace, while the other half was under a living room. The client requested an on-site inspection and asked us to propose the best solution to address the problem, specifying that soundproofing should be carried out throughout the entire apartment. Additionally, the client required the entire renovation to be completed within one week, as the property was occupied.

Our Solution

After the on-site inspection and analysis of the complaint and the corresponding structure, the client received a detailed report recommending the installation of a ceiling system Elastic Control throughout the entire apartment. Acoustic Force was commissioned to supply and install the system. The total area of the apartment was 45 m², and we committed to completing the work within 5 working days.

The Execution

The organization of the soundproofing delivery was carried out flawlessly, with professional crews hired for loading and unloading operations. During installation, our team encountered a number of challenges, including the irregular shape of the room, significant ceiling slab deflections, and the lack of lighting. Despite these obstacles, we successfully completed the task in just three working days. Although the client could not immediately test the soundproofing after project completion, a few months later they called to share that, since the installation, they had experienced no noise issues and could sleep peacefully regardless of the upstairs neighbors. The ceiling soundproofing had done its job perfectly. This marked the successful completion of yet another project. Our client was satisfied with the final result, and our team once again proved its ability to handle any situation.
