Client

In late August 2024, we were contacted by GielletInterior, an interior design studio, requesting a quote for acoustical wall and ceiling panels. The project was carried out on behalf of the end client, the office of Smartico.ai, who hired the interior studio to develop the design. The client had a clear vision for the aesthetics of the space and wanted the acoustic solutions to be implemented in line with the design.

Problem

Originally, the interior studio design called for a specific number of square panels, but without prior acoustic software analysis. This created a challenge - it was not clear whether the amount of panels envisaged would be sufficient for effective acoustic treatment. In addition, the design included complex L-shapes consisting of several individual panels, making installation difficult and increasing production costs.

Problem Specifics

Our team did an analysis and suggested an optimization - instead of using several separate panels for each complex shape, we suggested making custom panels in the exact shapes needed. This significantly reduced production and installation time as well as cost. The client accepted our proposal, but the project was delayed because the office was still in the renovation stage and we could not take accurate measurements.

Solution

After the construction work was completed, we inspected the room and confirmed that the original drawings matched the actual dimensions of the room. This allowed us to proceed with the fabrication of the panels in accordance with the client's design and requirements. Although the panels were originally intended for the ceiling, the client subsequently abandoned this part of the project and acoustic treatment was carried out on the walls only.

Execution

Production of the panels was completed on time, and installation was scheduled for early October 2024.Our team ensured careful and accurate execution of the project, in accordance with the pre-specified requirements. Thanks to good preparation and optimization, the whole process went smoothly and in a short time.

Summary

The Smartico.AI project showed that with proper analysis and optimization, not only a highly efficient acoustic solution can be achieved, but also a significant reduction in installation time and cost. The client was satisfied with the performance and efficiency of the proposed solution.
