Client

ProCredit Bank contacted us at the end of 2023 asking us to carry out an acoustic survey of their head office on the Blvd. Opalchenska, Sofia. Their main problem was the acoustics in the open office space, which made it difficult to concentrate and violated the confidentiality of conversations. An additional challenge was the management's requirement for an elegant, efficient and unobtrusive solution that would not disturb the existing interior.

Problem Specifics

Together with our team, we carried out measurements and an audio simulation through which the client could hear the effect of the acoustic treatment in advance. A 3D design was proposed with five options for solutions, including double-sided acoustic panels in front of the glass partitions secured with a magnet. The 'Sensa' shaped panels fitted best into the existing design. At this point, however, the client put the project on pause.

Solution

At the end of 2024, ProCredit Bank contacted us again with a new task - an office extension in a neighbouring building that was under construction. The client wanted an acoustic solution for the new open space that was in sync with the previous project. The main requirement was for the panels to be square in shape, similar to those the bank had used in previous projects.

Execution

Based on the English acoustic standard for call centres, which ensures control of echoes in the working environment, we made new acoustic calculations to determine the optimum number and location of panels, taking into account the presence of air conditioning systems. The results of the software analysis showed a need for 72 square metres of acoustic treatment, or approximately 130 panels.

We developed three design options, taking into full consideration the geometry of the room. The client opted for round panels from the Sensa range for the ceiling to complement the circular light fittings. For the walls, square and trapezoidal panels from the Rubik series were chosen. After final approval of colors and overall look, we manufactured the custom panels.

Summary

After installation, the client was extremely pleased with the results and is already planning future joint projects with us. Especially for ProCredit Bank, we created customized acoustic panels tailored to the specific geometry of the walls, providing an optimal acoustic environment.
