NecGroup - a company with an open-plan office organized into several functional areas. They contacted Acousticforce to manufacture and supply specialist acoustic screens to improve the acoustic comfort of employees' daily work.
NecGroup's office has an area of about 200 square meters, divided into several areas where different teams work. Due to the lack of partitions and acoustic treatment, high noise levels, communication difficulties and reduced employee concentration were felt in the space. The original design included a large number of larger sized panels but was inefficient and technically unsuccessful.
The structure had to be stable, and the panels had to pick up sound directly from the person speaking, as an acoustic barrier between individual workstations</span
Our engineering team did a design optimization, reducing the number of panels to achieve the same effect with fewer modules - by connecting the panels in sections. Each acoustic screen was constructed from:
Individual mounting profile according to height and positioning in the room
The production of the acoustic screens went through two main phases - painting the frames and then the panels themselves. Installation was planned for 10 working days, but the Acousticforce team completed it in just 5, despite the challenges:
The project with NecGroup demonstrates Acousticforce's ability to offer a more efficient solution than originally specified, without compromising on quality. The acoustic screens perform both a sound barrier function and visual zoning, contributing to a more relaxed and productive work environment. The short lead times for fabrication and installation were testament to our high degree of organisation and expertise.
