Enery is an international company that develops and manages large-scale renewable energy projects. They contacted us to improve the acoustic environment in their office in Sofia.
The main challenge was related to the two main conference rooms (Solar and Hydro) located next to each other. During meetings, there was loud chatter and echoes that hindered normal communication, especially when using videoconferencing equipment. In a third, smaller room, the problem was even more pronounced.
As is often the case, considerable investment was made in the room for equipment, but the acoustic aspect was not taken into account. The resonance between reflective surfaces led to amplification of sound problems - users amplified sound to make themselves better heard, which in turn exacerbated the echo. The halls could not be used at the same time as they were audible to each other. An additional requirement from the client was that the panels should correspond thematically to the names of the halls.
Our first step was an acoustic analysis and calculation of the required treatment area. After processing the data, we developed several conceptual designs with different budgets, designs and shapes. The client chose one of the proposals and together we finalized the colors, placement and look of the panels.
The installation was scheduled for 5 working days, but our team managed to complete the job in just 2. In addition, we assisted with a little extra work in the office done willingly by our installers. We subsequently received a letter of thanks from the client for our professionalism and efficiency.
The project was completed in a shortened time frame and fully met the client's expectations. Following this, Enery contacted us again for a new job - acoustic treatment of their "phonebooth" booths. Again, this mini-project was completed with care and attention to detail, and the feedback from the client was extremely positive.
